"A Funeral Celebrant is a person who is specifically trained and certified, who seeks to meet the needs of families during their time of loss. They serve by providing a funeral service that is personalised to reflect the personality

and life of the deceased."

Fellowship of Professional Celebrants

When you have lost someone it is a busy time.

There is both the funeral and the service to arrange.

Professional Funeral Celebrants support you at a time of need and help you to consider and plan an order of service, including music choice for entrance, reflection and closing.

I can also help with suggestions for readings, poems, prayers and eulogies.

Celebrants lead services for people with some or no religious belief, and it is common

to include religious elements such as a hymns or prayers.

The use of Funeral Celebrants is increasing as families seek individual and creative ways to give recognition to a person’s life, and for family and friends be to able to say goodbye to a loved one.

and stand-up comedy.
I am a family man, living in Nailsea, North Somerset, with a lot of local connections.
Often I take the lead in presenting local charity and community events.

My Approach

Being asked to lead a service is a privilege and an honour that I take very seriously.
I will arrange a visit to your home or at a venue to suit you.
Prior to our meeting we will have already talked about items you may like to consider in advance and who you may like to be with you when we meet.
It may be that you choose to be directly involved in talking on the day, but if not, I am used to taking the full service, but including the wishes of family members.

Customised Funeral Services

Together we will plan an order of service that will be the basis for a bespoke ceremony that reflects the life and personality of the person who has died.
I will support family participation in the service should you choose to be involved in readings, the eulogy or sharing memories.
Your thoughts and the wishes of the person who has died may be traditional or more creative.
Working with your Funeral Director, I can help you with resources and suggestions to make your choices happen.

Pre-Planning Your Own Ceremony

Not many of us like to think about our own deaths, but pre-planning your own ceremony can make life easier for loved ones, and enable you to have the choices that you want.

I am able to help you plan and record your service wishes ready for the future.

This can be recorded, signed and stored by you in a safe place.

Please give me a call to discuss this, or email me to make an appointment.
